Puppy classes, intermediate classes and the more advanced agility classes will be offered in the evening for owners and their dogs. Private evening lessons with Ami are also available. 

Ami Dobelle has been a professional animal trainer for domestic and exotic species since 1998. She became accredited as a Pet Trainer Instructor in 2004 and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Test Evaluator.

She worked in the Florida Keys as a marine mammal trainer at the Theater of the Sea in Islamorada and Dolphin Connection on Duck Key. She has worked with various species of animals such as dolphins, sea lions, and raptors. She has also worked on the training and conditioning of many species of sharks, sea turtles, stingrays and tropical fish.

Ami has a B.A. in Psychology with Animal Behavior Concentration from the University of Delaware with a double minor in Biology and Art. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), AKC Good Citizen Evaluator and a member of the International Marine Animal Trainers Association (IMATA). Ami has been featured Dog Trainer on both NBC’s Today Show and the WB’s Morning News Show.

Puppy Kindergarten: 
Ages 10 weeks up to 5 months, $200 per dog.
Meets once a week for 1 hour for 7 weeks.
New Classes always starting!  Call for details.

* The first class is for humans only and lasts 45 minutes.  After introductions, Ami will go over materials and supplies needed for class, and answer any questions. (It is easier to speak to everyone for the first time without puppies barking and running all over the place).

Puppy Kindergarten will include: 

• Sit, Stay, Down, Come, Drop it, Leave it and Take it Commands

• Walk nicely on a leash, no jumping, and no biting

• Resolving common puppy behavioral issues

• Puppy socializtion activities and games

Basic Obedience: 
Ages 5 months and over, $200 per dog.
Meets once a week for 1 hour for 7 weeks.
New Classes always starting!  Call for details.

* The first class is for humans only and lasts 45 minutes.  After introductions, Ami will go over materials and supplies needed for class, and answer any questions. Basic Obedience will include the same behaviors listed in Puppy Kindergarten with slightly less time spent on socialization.

Advanced Obedience: 
Must complete Puppy Kindergarten or Basic Class, $185 per dog.
Meets once a week for 1 hour for 5 weeks.

Dogs will attend all classes. Advanced Obedience will include: 

• Intro to clicker training

• Stand

• Heel

• Come, Stay, Sit and Down with many different types of distractions

• Fading out food treats

• Prepare for the Canine Good Citizen Test

• And much more!

Clicks and Tricks: 
Must complete Puppy Kindergarten or Basic Class. $185 per dog.
Meets once a week for 1 hour for 5 weeks.

Dogs will attend all classes. Tricks and Clicks will include: 

• Intro to clicker training

• Around, Over and Under

• Wave

• Take a bow

• Speak

• Off leash tricks and behaviors

• And much more!
