Daycare & Boarding Requirements
Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, healthy and stimulating
environment in which social dogs can play together while getting
plenty of loving attention from our daycare staff. In order to ensure the health and safety of
your dog and all our other guests, we require all of the following
in order to attend Daycare. Since Boarders are integrated into
Daycare, they must also meet the following requirements:
-
Dogs must be at least 4 months of
age.
-
Male dogs over 6 months of age must
be neutered. It is recommended that female dogs be spayed
for improved health and comfort; however, it is not
required. Female dogs may not board or attend Daycare
while in heat or for one week following the end of visible
symptoms.
-
Dogs must be non-aggressive, and
should not be food or toy protective.
-
All dogs should be in good health
and free of communicable diseases. Written proof from a
veterinarian of the following is required:
-
A yearly fecal exam
-
Vaccinations:
a. Rabies (1 or 3 years)
b. DHLPP (sometimes called a 5-in-1 shot)
c. Bordetella (required every 6 months)
All vaccinations must be administered at least
10 days prior to boarding or daycare. We also recommend
using a Flea & Tick preventative before staying with
us.
-
A detailed Boarding
& Daycare Application must be completed and signed before
a reservation can be made. Forms can be
downloaded
in PDF format. Please fax your completed application to 201-868-4831
prior to scheduling your interview. You may also drop it by our location.
-
Each dog will be screened for
aggression and must attend a brief initial
"interview" before the first session of Daycare or the
first day of Boarding. All of this is necessary to ensure
safety of the staff and your dog.
